Hypnotherapy
"Hypnosis is supported by more scientific evidence than
any other complementary therapy"
- Health Education Authority (UK)
Hypnotherapy holds that each of us has more talents and resources than we
consciously realise or have conscious access to. By learning to access altered
states of awareness (hypnosis), we can engage these deeper levels of the mind for
therapeutic change.
What Is Hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a state of intense inwardly-focused absorption in
sensations, feelings, memories and imaginings, in which the mind can
begin to break free of self-imposed everyday limitations and rigid
self-views. It is a natural, effortless, spontaneous and creative state of mind.
Each person has their own way of experiencing hypnosis, and a
good hypnotherapist can help you discover your own way.
How Does Hypnotherapy Help?
Hypnotherapy is NOT a form of mind control, nor is it a matter of
commanding problems to go away. Hypnosis seems to be an ideal state
for learning and re-learning, and for re-processing experiences
so that out-dated beliefs and limitations can be overcome.
